Artist's Statement:

She did not want to be seen today. Not like this. Not without the careful arrangement of herself that she has spent years perfecting — the version she presents to the world, the one that holds together, the one that answers fine when asked how she is doing. That version is not here. What you are looking at is what lives underneath it. She is not broken. I want to be clear about that. She is visible. For perhaps the first time. And visibility, even when it costs everything, is its own kind of beginning.
